If you could own any single object that you don't have now, what would it be? ... I would love to own more houseplants! My first choice would probably be a fiddle-leaf fig.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be? ... I'd love to be able to fly. I love heights!
If you could meet anyone in history, who would you choose and what would you ask them? ... I'd like to meet an American housewife from the colonial times... That period of history is so interesting to me! I would ask her all about her life, how she runs her household, and her hopes for her kids' futures.
What is your favorite childhood memory? ... There have been so many! One time on our way to see my grandparents in Arizona we drove through Death Valley. There was a place in the middle of the desert called Jubilee Pass where we stopped to get out of the car and stretch, and it was the most silent place I've ever been. I'll never forget the way it sounded.
If you could be best friends with anyone in the world, who would you pick? ... I'd be best friends with the people I'm already friends with. I love them.
What is your favorite thing to do outdoors? ... My favorite thing to do outdoors is probably to watch the sunset... or hike up mountains. Or both.
If you could fast-forward your life, how old would you want to be and why? ... I'd probably fast forward two days from now. It's the week before finals week and I have so many things due tomorrow! It'd e nice to have them over with.

What is the one object you own that matters more to you than anything else? ... That's a tough one! There's a book I have called Daylight in the Swamps that was put together by my cousin Emily. It's a compilation of stories from my relatives, and it's taught me so much about grief, loss, hope, and sisu. I would be a different person if I hadn't read it when I was younger.
What is the one thing in the world you are most afraid of? ... I'm not afraid of much, but right now I'd probably have to say that I'm afraid of college debt! I don't even have any yet, but it's something I just do not want to deal with.
If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick? ... I'd pick a lot of places! Australia, the UK, Finland, and Japan are on the list.
If you had the power to drop any course from your curriculum, what would it be? ... I wouldn't drop any of the classes I'm taking right now!
If you won a million dollars, what's the first thing you would do? ... I would do three things, in this order: pay off my parents' mortgage, pay off any college debts of mine, and invest the rest.
If you could meet anyone dead or alive, who would that be? ... I would meet Michelle and Barack Obama! Hands down.
If you could change your first name, what would you choose? ... I'd change my first name to Lena.
What's the best thing about your school? ... The best thing about my school is the faculty and staff. It's apparent that they care about fostering student success, and it's been a huge help. I love my school!
What is the worst day of the week? ... I don't think there is one!
If you could be any superhero, who would it be? ... Violet from the Incredibles. Invisibility for the win! (And fabulously glossy hair.)
What's the one thing you've done in your life that you wish you could do over differently? ... If I could do one thing differently, I'd have chosen to plant fruit trees in my backyard five years ago.
If you had a chance to star in any movie, who would you like as a costar? ... My sister Sabrina? Or if I wanted an actual actor I'd probably choose Octavia Spencer. She's cool.
What does your perfect day look like? ... My perfect day would be a quiet one, where the sun streaming in the windows wakes me up. I'd have a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the flowers on my kitchen table, eating strawberries, oranges, eggs and buttered rye toast for breakfast. After that I'd go to an arboretum or conservatory and look at plants and flowers all day, taking pictures and wearing my favorite shoes and jewelry. It's the small things in life, you know?
